Get involved in an action-packed, hands-on event with food, farming and the countryside at its core. Whatever the weather, with plenty of indoor and outdoor activities, CountryTastic is the perfect Easter Holiday family day out.
There's so much for youngsters to get involved in, with many of the activities free – hop on board for a tractor ride, go wild with bushcraft or try your hand at some fun crafts with Junk Fish.
Tractor and Trailer Rides
Always popular, take a trip on one of our tractor and trailer rides.
Create a clay pony with professional potters from Eastnor Pottery & The Flying Potter. Take your pony away at the end of the session to dry and paint at home. Suitable for all ages and abilities.
NFU Let's Talk Farming Discovery Barn
Learn about food provenance and the hard work British farmer do 365 days a year to produce glorious food for the nation. Explore a series of games, interactive information panels and fun activities which create a truly memorable learning experience.
Little ones can get stuck in learning how to press cheese with Croome Cuisine, book into cookery workshop, taste some game, as well as exploring the different stalls selling local produce.
There will be lots of fun countryside activities to get involved including bird nest making, willow weaving, live bee and butterfly insect displays and much more.
You won’t know what to do first with a range of free activities from make and take crafts, hula hooping and painting with Junk Fish. There will be pedal tractors and cricket taster sessions with Worcester Cricket Club to get involved with.
Museum of Carpet
Did you know wool is used to make carpets? You can have a go at spinning wool into yarn with the Museum of Carpet plus you can have a go at weaving yarn into cloth on a loom.
Learn the value of various items of farm machinery, sheep and straw. Children and parents can have a go at working out how much each item is worth.
Severn Trent’s Wonderful Water Tour
Including a whole raft of exciting activities including a virtual reality journey of water, Minecraft worlds to explore and play water-related games in, a science lab where children are tasked with finding out who polluted the river and a call centre where they can take calls and send out a technician to fix a problem. There are sewer games that teach children what should and shouldn’t be thrown down the toilet as well as a chance for children to locate a water leak and fix it.
