Arts & Crafts
There are so many arts & crafts activities for youngsters to get involved in and the vast majority of the activities are free of charge. Check out who is set to host hands on activities at CountryTastic in 2024:
Face Painting
Children can get their face painted with fantastic, colorful designs of their choosing. Please note, there will be a surcharge for face painting.
Pottery Workshop
Come and make a trug full of cartoon super hero fruit or veg under the expert tutelage of Eastnor Pottery & The Flying Potter. It could be a punnet of Spider Strawbs or a trug full of turnip titans. Take your creations away on the day – you can even paint them at home if you like. No previous experience of working with clay required just a desire to be creative, have fun…and a love of fresh fruit and vegetables!
Art Studios Ross
Have a go at making super hero puppets, superhero wooden badges, colouring worksheets and garland making.
Willow Weaving
Roll up your sleeves and get willow weaving with Chris Oakey! Oakey Bear will be offering Willow Teepee Tree workshops for children and adults of all ages. A teepee tree is a 6ft tall shelter that allows children to crawl inside to explore, role-play and allow their imaginations to run wild. There will also be the opportunity to make willow crowns.
Herefordshire & Worcestershire Earth Heritage Trust
View a range of fossils, rocks and minerals including Vernon the Velociraptor!
Kids can even bring their own fossil to be identified and have a go at making a badge!
Lets Waste Less
Lets Waste Less will bring games and activities, as well as an interactive food waste display.
Learn all about composting and the creatures involved and the benefit to the soil, and understand the principle of food being a resource that shouldn’t be wasted.
Choccotastic Chocolate Workshops
Back by popular demand Choccotastic will be bringing their chocolate art workshop to CountryTastic. Expect extremely fun mess making! They will also have their handmade chocolate available to purchase.
